The owners of this Kent holiday barn have made very clever use of light with contemporary glass, wood and steel staircases and banisters shedding light right down through the layers of this wonderful barn.
A mixture of contemporary and antique furniture adds a quirky but comfortable touch to the interior of this antique barn in Kent. This holiday let has large squashy sofas abound in the seating areas so that however large your group there is room for all.
Approached up a long private drive this stunning holiday Barn complex affords complete privacy and seclusion with views across the surrounding Kent farmland. Each self catering holiday barn in Kent has its own kitchen but the very spacious kitchen of the main English country barn would be ideal for catering for large groups. A particular feature is the enormous dining hall with seating for all around the bespoke table.
The self catering barns are surrounded by Kent woodland and fields with lovely views of the Kent countryside from many of the rooms, there is ample parking on the driveway with a private garden surrounding each holiday house and a private heated swimming pool, tennis court to enjoy during your stay in these Kent barns.

Great Higham Barn: sleeps 18 + 8 in 7 bedrooms, 2 sofa beds and 4 futon beds in reception rooms, 1 family bathroom, 4 en suite bath or shower rooms and 1 WC. Outside there is a private garden with large patio area and seating and private off road parking for several cars on the driveway or undercover. Use of shared outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts.
The property is entered via the double height barn door which leads into a double height glass walled atrium.
Main dining area seats 18 with French doors leading to the rear patio area.
Kitchen: split into three 'rooms' - the main cooking area, with sink, double range electric oven and extractor fan, two dishwashers and a large fridge. Another dining area seats 12.
The utility room has a washing machine and separate dryer.
Glass wood and steel stairs lead to the first floor to an open mezzanine.
Snug/play area with PlayStation (sorry no games provided), TV/DVD, docking station, DAB radio and CD player. Reading area upon sofas to seat 4.

Great Higham Oast Sleeps 10 in 4 bedrooms, 1 reception room, 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite) and 1 WC. Outside there is a south facing patio with seating for 10 and a BBQ and further outside space to the rear. Under cover car parking for two cars is available.
Sitting area: Open plan, TV/ DVD player and Sky TV are available.
Kitchen: With granite work surfaces the kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine, electric oven and hob, microwave and extractor fan, the adjoining dining table seats 10.

Kitchen: granite topped kitchen with breakfast bar equipped with washing machine, fridge, electric oven, electric hobs, microwave oven and kettle. A dining table seats four.

If you can tear yourselves away from this wonderful spot and all on offer at the barn then there is lots to see and do in the area. Leeds Castle with Go Ape, Segway and the stunning grounds itself is within 20 minutes, Canterbury Cathedral and St Augustines Abbey are also within easy reach and if you fancy a brewery tour, Shepherd Neame is based in nearby Faversham.

All clearly explained, ready on arrival, willing & friendly competent staff who dealt with queries as they arose & gave exactly what they promised. We had a wonderful experience & are really pleased we chose this venue.
This was our second visit to The Great Higham Barn Complex. The first time we just booked the Barn, but after hearing tales of our first holiday we had more friends request to join us when we went again so it was great to be able to book the whole complex. It's a really good venue for a large gathering, the huge dining table in the Bran is big enough to fit everyone round at meal times. Its set in beautiful surroundings, great for dog walks. The log fired hot tub and tennis court were used a lot. We have some great memories of our stay.

The perfect venue for a small wedding/ large family party/ holiday with friends! Gorgeous venue in excellent condition and so welcoming it feels like home from day one. We had our wedding here and it was absolutely fantastic; relaxed, comfortable and SO much fun. Not many wedding venues can boast a swimming pool, tennis court, and a suite of beautiful and comfortable rooms to accommodate all your guests!! The venue made for beautiful photos and the staff were absolute gems. PERFECT. We will definitely be back with friends to re-live it all at Great Higham complex!

This is a carbon neutral development and all heating is supplied by the estate's own coppiced woodland at no charge to the holidaymaker.
In addition much of the electricity comes from a renewable source.
Dogs are welcome as long as they behave themselves! Swimming pool available for use May - September. Wood fired hot tub. Guests use the hot tub facilities at their own risk, and due to harsh chemicals used for maintenance purposes some skin types may react.
Please note that the gardens are not fully enclosed (except Plum Cottage).
Cots and highchairs available upon request.
Guests who are using Great Higham Farm as a celebration venue should be aware that music is only permitted until midnight. Please be respectful of neighbouring properties and refrain from making any noise after this time.
Weddings being held at Great Higham Barn in 2018 will incur an additional Wedding Supplement. Please enquire for further details.
